Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator/ Intake Support Technician (IST) is processing fax and email documents and accurately entering new patient information as well as possibly answering inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.
Duties and Responsibility: Accurately obtains and enters all new patient data and notifies the appropriate staff.Scans and assigns all documents from email, faxes, and other sources into the patient's electronic medical record and notifies appropriate staff.Amazing attention to detailAbility to coordinate and work with owners, implement strategic initiatives, and lead a teamAnswer inbound calls secondary to Customer Service Representatives.This position will develop into a lead position for other Intake Technicians as the team grows. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree of any related field.At least 5+ years of experience in medical office (US Healthcare)Experience in leadership is required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR software.Familiarity with infusion practices and medical codesExperience with WeInfuse software is a plus.Familiar with HIPAA guidelinesAble to perform basic mathematical computationsAttention to detail.
