Position Overview
The core mission of an Instructional Design Associate is paramount in the process of learning and development. They are tasked with the creation of learning experiences and materials in a manner that results in the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills. The discipline follows a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials and evaluating their effectiveness.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Learning Programs Analysis, Design and DevelopmentDevelops and designs courses and curriculumEdits and develops online learning materialsCreates learning experiences and environmentsDesigns learning activities, assignments, and assessmentsCreates web-based training (WBT) modules and storyboardsDevelops instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching toolsCollaborates with subject experts to develop course contentManages online learning communitiesAnalyzes, updates, and refines existing online contentTrains instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologiesFacilitates discussion and collaborationKeeps current on best practices in instructional designWrites scripts for video and audio contentUnderstands and applies effective learning principles, theories, models and strategiesTraining Facilitation and CoordinationSelects appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)Oversees training files and trackers that includes online or softcopy trackers, files and moreMaintains updated curriculum database and training recordsManages and maintains in-house training facilities and equipmentManages, maintains and updates the company's Learning Management SystemWorks with the stakeholders to define, improve, and perform the TNA, learning objectives, evaluation process etc.Additional Duties:Performs other official work as instructed by the immediate supervisor/managerRecommends and proactively implements opportunities for increased departmental efficiencyProvides marketing materials assistance for the Multimedia ArtistWHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?BS, BA or higher degree in Instructional Design, Education, Psychology or related fieldAbove average English verbal and written communication skillsAdept in MS tools especially PowerPointUses Authoring Tool in course creation Proficiency with Learning Management SystemPrevious experience in instructional designHas an experience as a Trainer/Facilitator
