At AskHR in Medtronic, our goal is to provide a best-in-class employee experience, providing a standard level of care to our customers and drive operational excellence. We are first point of contact for employees and managers to receive solutions and answers to their HR related questions and manage a Hire to Retire HR processes whilst collaborating with various team with and outside HR function. The APAC ASK HR center supports 14 countries in APAC and supports 7 key languages: English, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Bahasa, Mandarin.

A Day in the Life

This is an exciting time to join the APAC ASK HR Team as we embark on a HRSS transformation journey.

The HR Operations Supervisor is directly involved in leading the team & deploying the operational excellence goals of APAC Ask HR Shared Services Center with responsibility for global/regional support for HR applications, all Workday modules, reporting tools, HR Processes and activities according to the Service Catalogue. This position will be based at the Manila office in Philippines

In this newly created role, the HR Operations Supervisor (Ask HR) have a key role to support building a strong and knowledgeable team to provide AskHR operational support and services to managers and employees of Medtronic on HR topics. In partnership with the ASK HR Leader, you will be responsible for the performance management, career development and KPI of all team members which may come from diverse background. You will lead the implementation of processes, procedures and policies necessary to manage a multi-tiered shared service HR while driving towards standardization at the same time. You will consult, advise and collaborate and forge strong partnership with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partners to ensure optimum operation of HR applications and services. You will be responsible for the learning and development of the AskHR team on the HR applications, processes and procedures in place within Medtronic HR with support from the leadership.

You will design, implement and execute ASK HR strategies with support from leadership, partner with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objective and proactively resolves HR and business issues, provides solutions through organizational effectiveness and employee life cycle management, anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management, responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison in key projects.

HRSS as one of the back-office support function, you will build strong partnership and collaborate with other back office support function : IT, Finance, RDA etc. on ensuring we provide an integrated solution for interrelated data points & processes.

Together with the Team Members you will drive operational excellence and adherence to standardized work and procedure. You will proactively support the adoption of Lean culture. You will coach Team Members to identify, resolve and/or escalate as appropriate problems that arise using A3 DMAIC process to identify root cause of issues. You will be responsible to ensure quality of service of the ASK HR team. You will be a key governance member of the knowledge-based system ensuring overall maintenance and overseeing content management. You will ensure procedures are being followed and accurate information is being provided by auditing phone calls and the case management system.

Together with the ASK HR Leader, drive, lead and/or support regional and global initiatives. Perform a back-up role for the ASK HR Leader when necessary.

You will provide the voice, insights and expertise on operational matters on global & regional meeting cadence as well as on project meetings.

You will be responsible on ensuring accuracy of management reports through analysing and interpreting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports of metrics, identifying trends and providing proactive suggestions for improvements and analysis the data to use for strategic decisions. You will be responsible to assign SME process ownership to team members ensuring that all processes are covered whilst taking the development of the individual team member into account.

HR Operations Supervisor
Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree required

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Additional Requirements

We are looking for a qualified person with Degree level in Human Resources or related discipline and desirably with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in leading/managing a diverse team within HR Shared Services environment in a regional/APAC capacity. You are a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. You are experienced with leading and developing team members, cross-functional collaboration and communication gaining trust of key stakeholders and developing solutions rapidly to urgent business needs. You can learn new technologies to provide guidance to others in a fast-paced environment. You are a systems thinker and can connect the dots and see the big picture in tackling highly complex situation and be able to bring the team together in understanding and finding solution for complex issues

You are fluent in English, both in writing and speaking. Fluency in other Asian language is a plus but not required.

Technology:
Expertise on ServiceNow Case Management, Workday, Taleo.
Knowledge in IT integration will be helpful but not required.
