We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our HR operations and ensuring smooth employee lifecycle management—from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and offboarding. The ideal candidate has a solid background in HR and payroll functions, with experience managing remote teams and working across diverse business sectors. You will be working 25-30 hours/week during US business hours and get paid weekly.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll & Benefits Administration Manage payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions Handle employee benefits inquiries and assist with benefits administration Input and maintain accurate 401(k) data and contributions Prepare and analyze payroll and HR-related reports Recruitment & Onboarding Advertise job openings on relevant platforms Create and update job descriptions Screen and interview candidates via phone and video calls Conduct background checks and reference verifications Coordinate onboarding and induction for new hires HR Operations Monitor and manage the HR inbox and respond to queries Maintain and update HRIS and employee records Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws Support in staff training and development initiatives Manage remote employee documentation and communication Employee Relations & Offboarding Assist in disciplinary meetings and documentation Issue formal warnings as needed Manage employee exits, including contract terminations and offboarding Communicate changes and updates to staff as required Requirements: Proven experience in HR and payroll functions Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll platforms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Comfortable working in fast-paced and remote environments
