YOUR ROLE AT DOMPÉ

Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of HR will play an instrumental role in shaping our culture, supporting our business strategies, and developing the talent pipeline necessary to make an impact on Dompé’s global strategic growth. Proactively evolving people related strategies, processes, practices and driving efficient execution across all of HR will be critical to success. This position requires a blend of strategy, tactics and execution, together with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the business. The individual selected will consistently provide strategic counsel to the General Manager and U.S. Executive Team on compensation, employee engagement, performance management, organizational structure, HR compliance, and internal communication.
Key Responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement the People Strategy in accordance with the Global Business Strategy, ensuring the successful adaptation and implementation of the global narrative and culture of the company across all aspects of the talent lifecycle
Serve as a thought partner to the executive team; anticipate and identify HR implications of business priorities, potential disruptions and/or change management, and offer counsel and solutions to ensure engagement, diversity, and organizational effectiveness
Analyze talent-related data including sources of hires, attrition, and employee engagement surveys to identify trends; develop and champion proactive action plans to ensure we continue to attract and retain top talent
In partnership with Global HR, refine our total compensation philosophy, then translate it to the local team in a way that is clear and motivating, ensuring that the end product meets local needs and also respects company policy
Build on our existing feedback culture by leading period talent reviews at the department level and supporting department heads and our leader of commercial training as we work to create high performing teams based on employee strengths
Oversee recruiting activities in collaboration with HRBP, serving as a thought partner to hiring managers when developing job descriptions, and play a significant role in recruiting for more senior positions
Help us clearly tie performance to rewards; review our the local performance appraisal process and take us to new heights, managing related processes in compliance with local rules and global policies
Manage local HR department and related costs, and tracking local FTE spend in aggregate, in compliance with local rules and global policies
Perform regular self-audits in collaboration with local HRBP to ensure compensation and other HR practices are compliant and consistent with business objectives, internal standards and regulatory requirements
Coach and support HR business partner, effectively leveraging and optimizing experience and skills, and provide opportunities for professional growth
Oversee facilities including our physical office in San Mateo; meet team needs and EHS and labor law requirements, with support from HQ team and outside partners as needed
Conduct investigations in collaboration with Global and Local Compliance Department and in accordance with HQ guidelines
Champion a consistently fair and harassment-free work environment in compliance with all government regulations, including but not limited to: Employee Retirement Income Security act, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and other applicable labor and/or tax laws and regulations in accordance with HQ guidelines

YOU COULD BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or Management, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification a plus
Extensive experiences of leading/managing an HR function and operating as an HR Business Partner at a senior level to senior/executive leaders in an organization, preferable in a pharma/biotech environment.
Extensive experience as a generalist in all Human Resources and Organizational Development areas in a multi-site environment.
Experience as a strategic business partner with credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management on business issues and business strategy with the ability to link human resources as a driver and influencer of business performance
At least 10 years working in HR including 5 years of experience with talent management, employee relations and compensation/benefits programs; Strong Compensation and Benefits experience preferred
Strong HRIS experience and knowledge and a track record of leveraging new HR technology while leading a Total Rewards function
Experience managing, coaching and developing others
Demonstrated empathy and experience driving diversity & inclusion strategies
Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
Track record of measurable accomplishments with a focus on talent metrics managing Human Resources at a local operating company site in a global reporting environment
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS: TECHNICAL

The ability to engage, conduct diagnosis, analyze findings, generate options and build commitment to solutions.
HRIS, Talent management, payroll software, SAP Success Factors, and Applicant Tracking Systems knowledge

LOCATION:

Currently our team is working remotely, but this position is expected to be office-based in San Mateo, CA when local conditions allow. Current thinking is Spring/Summer 2021. **
