**The role**

The Head of HR in Philippines provides both **strategic **and **tactical human resources leadership and support**, to meet the needs of the business.
This individual is an action-oriented self-starter who develops HR strategies and implements HR practices in support of organizational advancement.
In partnership with the local management team, the Head of HR is responsible for creating, developing and executing programs with a sense of urgency, producing clear and measurable results.
They will be managing a team.
**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provide proactive hands-on HR leadership, direction and counsel to Senior Leaders and Managers
- Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence appropriately
- Develops and recommends communication and change strategies to ensure the business is moving in a desired direction
- Through regular interactions with managers and employees, identifies business needs and develop plans for resolution in a timely manner
- Plans and executes timely and relevant Manager and Employee programs on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Able to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement, thus sharing in the ultimate responsibility for creating a great place to work
- Monitors key HR metrics and where possible pre-empts required actions
- Oversees the implementation and impact of DE&I initiatives
- Leads HR team in the development of content, policies and training in support of HR processes
- Creates and implements internal standards to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team and overall function
- Sets clear objectives for the HR team and coaches the team as and when required
- Responsible for HR data integrity for Philippines
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding human resources and ensures compliance with all local statutes involving employment
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Global HR Team and cross functional relationships within APAC.
- Special Projects as required.
Identified projects include: Employee Surveys (internal and external); HR portal; Employee handbook & policies review; Workday/Oracle/Taleo (HRIS system); Orientation/On-boarding programs; Training/Talent programs

**Requirements**:

- At least 8 or more years of proven experience building/leading high-performing teams (preferably in Global MNCs) in a senior HR capacity with strong HR business partnering skills i.e., developing and implementing HR strategies and solutions
- In-depth exposure to several facets of HR including recruitment & selection, compensation, organizational development, learning & development, performance management, coaching and employee relations
- Demonstrated success with a consultative HR leadership approach to business partnering
- Effective and positive persuasion and influencing skills
- Able to make connections across complex problems or ideas (highly preferred)
- Ability to perceive the big picture in any situation while ensuring relevant details are covered, thus having the ability to tactfully and confidently communicate with internal and external customers
- Has experience working in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and human resources activities
- Ability to maintain, understand and respect confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with excellent judgment and discretion
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle changes to work demands and stays organized
- Strong knowledge of Philippines employment laws and regulations and experienced in handling all aspects of employee relations matters
- Strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency
- Ability to travel as and when needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

- 13th month salary

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Manila: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- HR: 10 years (preferred)
