Group Finance Solutions Group – Finance Technical Expert – Senior Analyst
As Finance Technical Expert, your main responsibility is to work on the delivery of Run-the-Bank (RTB) support requirements for the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards 9 (IFRS 9) Projects. Moreover, you will collaborate with Project Subject Matter Experts (SME), RTB and Information Technology (IT) teams to ensure successful delivery of the project. Finally, you will perform process impact analysis, User Acceptance Test (UAT) executions, detailed investigation and root cause analysis of data quality issues and will also safeguard the documentation of any relevant impact and changes in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
In this capacity you will collate, document and analyze RTB pain points and relate these to business requirements, you will also research issues from the Legal Vehicle and Business Area Controllers relating to project deliverables to facilitate a resolution, and escalate when appropriate. You will perform financial and regulatory reporting data analysis for project delivery and assist with all phases of the project life cycle (i.e. analysis, design, development, testing and implementation) to ensure that project deliverables meet stated expectations for scope, quality and business objectives. You will provide SME support for project related issues and propose solutions, you will also conduct Business Processes and System Architecture Training to RTB users. Moreover, you will work closely with IT to help define Functional Design documents as needed and lead/perform UAT and highlight key issues and risks to the stakeholders, you will also summarize UAT results and recommend UAT sign-off to stakeholders, develop training and handover material prior to Go-Live, and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Furthermore, you will effectively communicate relevant project information to other project team members, resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion, ensure appropriate use of the Bank’s tools, processes, and methodologies and undertake project support and test management duties subject to experience/demand.
For this requirement you will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in either Accountancy, Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent course, and preferably be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). You are expected to have extensive experience in business/data analysis within the realm of finance and working experience on Global General Ledger Projects (preferably in SAP) obtained from the financial services industry- preferably coming from investment banking.. You will need to have advanced MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and have strong communication skills. Finally, you are also expected to have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and possess the ability to work with virtual teams, within a matrixed organization and in a fast paced environment.
