Key Duties and Responsibilities
Core Function:
Develop a detailed understanding of all client brands and brand guidelines.
Liaise with staff and clients to take the creative brief.
Clearly interpret the briefs given and either queries or follow them to completion.
Always produce work that complies with brand guidelines.
Prepare and design artwork based on client specifications and marketing objectives.
Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
Plan creative concepts by studying information, materials and creative resources.
Create logos and supporting brand concepts such as wordmarks, icons and infographics.
Produce collateral for all media, both traditional and digital.
Present designs to clients and Marketing Specialists for approval and feedback.
Update both internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Output elements in appropriate formats including print-ready.
Business Development:Prepare concept presentations to help convert future to marketing activity.
Develop a base understanding of all clients’ offerings & marketing activities.
Develop a working understanding of The Marketing Lab, its mission, the brand, stakeholders, and markets.
Gather information and pass on any new opportunities or requests to the appropriate person.
Establish professional relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
Project Management:Oversee the delivery of artwork and output elements to ensure client and company deadlines are met.
Turn around all artwork in under 3 business days.
Update all systems and knowledge base in accordance with company standards.
Adhere to company standards for naming conventions and file structure.
Clearly articulate project workload and challenges to the owner or Senior Marketing Specialist as appropriate.
Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies and suppliers.
Complete work within the constraints of cost and time.
Leadership:Participate in organised and self-directed training and development as required.
Provide support and back-up to team members to ensure client and company objectives are met.
Proactively look to identify and stay abreast of trends in design and creative arenas.
