Description:
Capable in designing, implementing, and building an MVP independently, understands how all components of the codebase work together and drives best practices by leveraging their knowledge of ecosystems and experience into the codebase.
Liaising with and determining stakeholder requirements, implementation, testing and deployment of these solutions
Maintenance and support of existing systems
Participate in improving the department’s processes
Create program based on agreed technical specifications
Documents programming codes consistently
Responsible for ensuring an effective and quality support to clients and team members as detailed below:
Ensure that deliverables are done on or before the deadline
Update KANBAN worklist with the current status of the project assigned
Conduct daily/weekly team meeting
Shall perform other duties and responsibilities assigned when need arise
Develop existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
Maintain systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
Participate in Design Reviews.
Unit Testing of Software(s)/Applications developed according to specified procedures.
Debugging/Correcting identified software defects.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience as a Full-stack software developer and demonstrates a strong knowledge of modern omni channel (desktop, tablet, mobile) web application development using Single-Page-Application architecture in JavaScript using React, Node.js, and related JavaScript libraries.
Knowledge in HTML, Javascript, CSS and SASS is a plus
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience building applications from the prototype phase through MVP production rollout phase over multiple iterations.
Hands-on experience developing Responsive User Interfaces in HTML/CSS/JS and can implement visual designs provided by InsureLife’s Visual Designer in a design tool such as Figma.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience defining and building REST-ful APIs according to the OpenAPI specification and familiarity with an API tool like Swagger and API Gateways.
Hands-on experience and strong knowledge integrating with 3rd-party REST-ful APIs in JSON and XML.
Hands-on experience building micro-services in Node.js following Server-less Architecture and using a FaaS like AWS Lambda. Bonus if the candidate has hands-on experience with the Server-less Framework.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with database technologies, including a NoSQL database like AWS DynamoDb and a SQL database like MySQL.
Hands-on experience implementing user tracking and analytics into applications with Google Universal Analytics or similar framework.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with application security using Google OAuth, Amazon Cognitio, or similar service.
Hands-on experience and familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD Pipeline, and Software Development Lifecycle. Bonus if the candidate has experience with AWS CI/CD and GitHub.
Hands-on experience with Agile methodology and iterative software development practices, including participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint demos, sprint post-mortems, and estimating sprint work items such as stories and tasks.
Familiarity with provisioning and using cloud services and other AWS services as needed.
Strong ability to learn new things in short order and to identify and solve problems, since we can’t predict all the challenges that come up during greenfield software engineering.
Bonus if the candidate has experience and knowledge with Twilio Programmable Voice, Messaging, and Video APIs.
