The Role
• Develop processes to capture experience and design data. Collaborate concepts with stakeholders (creative director, production/delivery, client, offsite colleagues, and leadership) and provide competition and market analyses, design, and experience research
• Use storyboards, scenario planning, emotional journeys, or other experience design tools to come up with a well-rounded project plan. Art and Experience direction of assets to brand level including image selection and direction, working collaboratively with artists, product development, and project teams
• Create mood boards and personas for creative concepts, stories and campaigns
• Information and interaction design for corporate web, email, app, and product development materials, as well as videos (bumpers, animation, and storyboard)
• Cohesively presents concepts and prototypes to stakeholder
• Document user experiences (prediction of user behaviors and experiences)
• Builds relationships with appropriate vendors
• Meets with project management to review work in progress and against established project budget
• Estimate hours required for project effort
• Create insights or analytics and find the nuances that differentiate the customer experience
The Qualifications
• Art education in graphic, web and digital design, or multimedia arts preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience within digital design industry, agency, in-house studio, or a comparable industry
• Strong command of art and experience design principles including typography, balance, color, and hierarchy, as well as thoughtful implementation of design strategy (information and interaction) and analytics
• Strong knowledge and practice of UX principles (Design Research, Project Briefs, Information and Interaction Design, Prototyping, Storyboarding, and Results Analytics)
• Extensive knowledge of creating pixel perfect digital designs in Adobe tools (and Sketch would be a bonus)
• Knowledge in HTML and CSS
• Prototyping experience with InVision or any other software
• Able to design and prototype for both desktop and
mobile versions
• Extensive portfolio is required to demonstrate creative and technical skills
• Demonstrated excellent use of judgment and imagination in the arrangement of visual elements
• Excellent stakeholder management (communication, time, and project management)
• Stellar skills in the latest design software and ability to run Mac
• A knack for bringing ideas to life. Can create a culture of exploration and discovery that is guided by the brand strategy and creative brief (including often within strict parameters of our clients’ brands)
• Design thinking and agile project management experience is a plus
• Motivated and action-oriented
