Job Description:
The Executive Producer for News Programs is in-charge in supervising the operations of news programs and communicate programs assigned to him/her before and during broadcast. He/she defines the program's direction and personality and sets the standards of the program quality in terms of content, format, genre, technical execution, and modes of production. As a team leader, he/she is expected to mobilize and harness his/her team's creative energies to significantly contribute to the company's objectives. Likewise, he/she is responsible for the marketability and proper utilization of the program's monetary and human resources.
Production Management Duties: Oversees operational technical aspects of the production of the program, from weekly pre-production to delivery of final output and endorsement for airing. Distributes weekly/individual workload and deliverables of the program staff Handles and monitors program's annual budget. Makes sure that the expenses and process are in compliance to objectives and policies set by Finance and Heads. Submits financial reports, and prepares requests for payment. Requests for weekly program funds Prepares and submits PCR of program staff and news correspondents Coordinates with internal and external clients and suppliers including Global Regional Offices, News Bureau Chiefs, and correspondents. Screens and recommends appliocants and on-cam talents to the Department Head and Production Manager Represents the program during operational meetings Approves administrative forms and technical requests for the program Administratively supervises the program staff and on-cam hosts of their deliverables, work schedule, and minor employee related concerns Identifies key people in the team and recommends individual promotions or commendations to the Production Manager Assumes other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Production Manager and Department Head Creative Management Duties: Contribute ideas for program content and weekly line-up Previews and approves edited segments and VTRs for the program Copy check scripts prepared by the segment producer/writer of the program Mentors immediate reports for improvement and performance Executes requests from other departments and Regional Offices as forwarded by the Production Manager Suggests and contributes concepts aligned to the directions set by the Production Manager and Department Head Program Branding Duties: Oversees overall look of the program including OBBs, segment title cards, broadcast design, theme music, and set design Spearheads brainstorming sessions for program segments and promotional ideas that will help reinforce the image and branding of the channel Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least 3 years extensive work experience in Program Production Must have leadership and excellent communication skills Must have technical know-how in TV Production Must be willing to work extra hours and be on-call 24/7 Must have a well-rounded personality and good PR skills Must be flexible when giiven multiple assignments simultaneously
