Responsibilities: • Design and build simple to advance TV applications using Android platform • Participate in planning of the requirements and input estimates, risks, and possible roadblock of the planned requirements • Creating and participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and advancing product quality • Performing root cause analysis of software issues/defects and improving application performance • Create and execute Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability • Participate in peer code reviews
Qualifications
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant fields • At least 5 years of experience programming with Java • At least 5 years of experience programming working with Android applications using the Android SDK, tools, and debugger or have a strong Android application experience. • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the following: - Inter-process communication (IPC): queues, pipes, sockets, shared memories, etc. - Multithreading and Processes/Threads - Data structures - Object oriented programming, design patterns and principles - Have experience using services, broadcast receivers, content providers • Experience with app architectures MVC or MVP or MVVM • Experience with one or more source control platforms such as Git • Experience with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review • Experience with Android or Linux subsystems Audio or Video or Picture, Bluetooth BLE, HDMI, USB, Accessibility
