The Lexmark Electronic Component Sourcing Team drives innovation through vendors/supplier's partnerships, creative ideation, and cross-functional collaboration.

**In this role you will**:

- Identifies, selects, and monitors local and overseas vendors/suppliers.
- Establish systems and procedures to avoid sourcing/buying from high-risk suppliers/vendors.
- Conduct analysis of supplier's component specifications, qualification procedures, and reliability reports.
- Facilitates the development of team/partner relationships with vendors/suppliers and maintains relationships for long-term contracts.
- Create global category sourcing strategies with the Global Sourcing Team and gain stakeholders and management alignment for execution.
- Deploy project management strategies to support the sourcing strategy and initiatives.
- Initiate and drive communication to ensure effective delivery of savings and other sourcing deliverables against the Global Sourcing strategy.
- Understand the spending patterns, external supply market and Lexmark business needs to modify the sourcing strategy accordingly.
- Utilize the sourcing processes and tools to optimize bid evaluations, supplier evaluations, negotiation strategy, negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting.
- Ensure approval for Lexmark corporate electronic parts catalog.
- Ensure parts and processes used meet RoHS, WEEE, and other environmental standards.
**Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities**:

- B.S.
Engineering degree required.
- At least 2-3 years of sourcing experience with demonstrated knowledge of sourcing process, strategy and market drivers (International sourcing experience a plus).
- Solid background in evaluating electronics component parameters.
- Experience in contractual and business negotiations.
- Experience with supplier value management and leading continuous improvement projects.
- Cost management practices, with history of delivery against targets.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven project management, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity ability to see opportunities in problems.
- Ability to work well with other groups and with different levels of management.
- Willing to travel overseas for business trips like contract manufacturing site visits, corporate headquarter visits, training, or work assignments when required.
