Job description
The primary responsibility of the Educational Content Scriptwriter is to create educational content, assessments, and extension activities for senior high school English video lessons. He or she must be able to deliver effective and engaging scripts and lesson slides aligned with the provided materials that contribute to the production of videos and presentation slides in line with the K–12 Curriculum. They must be committed, flexible to changes, and able to keep up with fast-paced work processes.
Responsibilities
Scriptwriter
Create content like lesson slides and scripts for Senior High School English (Oral Communication in Context, Reading and Writing Skills, and 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World)
Be in charge of creating high-quality scripts for video production.
Work with content experts and creatives to adapt text-based lessons into scripts
Produce scripts and work with creatives to translate them into storyboards
Follow closely throughout production to ensure the quality of script execution in the final video format.
Provide assistance and support in quality assurance and improvement of online learning content
Editor
Proofread and edit the available script drafts for video production.
Work with other scriptwriters to polish the script drafts
Follow closely throughout production to ensure the quality of script execution in the final video format.

Requirements:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must-Haves
Familiar with the Philippine educational system and the Philippine K–12 curriculum
Extensive knowledge in English-related subjects for Senior High School
Able to analyze text-based lessons and convert them in a knowledge-building yet engaging script format
Knowledgeable of the ins and outs of video production
Can keep up with deadlines and schedules
Positive results-oriented mindset
Can grasp academic concepts and present them in ways the audience will understand and be engaged
Work collaboratively with a team while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible and can easily adjust to sudden changes
Knowledgeable in using web-based applications such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Asana.
Good-to-Have
1 year or more work experience as a teacher in the mentioned English subjects
Background in Education Technology, especially online learning.
Knowledge of Instructional Design and Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition
Educational background
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSED-ENG), Bachelor of Arts in English (AB English) with teaching units or other closely related degrees (or majors), units in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or other similar courses
Masters or Doctorate degree in English or Education is an advantage
Work arrangement
Freelance contract
Flexitime, attends meetings in the office or online as required
Communication and file sharing through email, chat, SMS, and calls
Would require a reliable and stable internet connection for communication and file collaboration
