Nature & Scope: Account Managers are key members of the team working and managing a portfolio of clients. The Account Manager will contribute to the integral portions of the business key objectives through campaigns as well as support the Account Director with the management of clients. Equipped with DPR skills, experience, and high media recognition value, the Account Manager will act as a coach/role-model to junior consultants & interns and also oversee/manage their workloads.
The Account Manager also plays a key role in winning new business and will have an understanding of the budget implications of their actions.
Key Responsibilities: Planning and implementation of impactful DPR campaigns Development of DPR strategies which include (formulation, execution, and alignment with the client's key business objectives) Ability to combine creativity with knowledge of new and traditional media, understand & recognize media angles to generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum Ability to write newsworthy articles Assist in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of DPR campaigns Liaise with the client and act as key point of contact in support of senior consultants Ability to get client/media buy-in to ideas, promotions and features Delegation of tasks to junior consultants effectively Supervise AE’s and Interns activity and workload Establish professional relationships with colleagues in other offices Participate in brainstorms and create workable programmes for new business and existing clients Keep track of deadlines and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner Actively participate in new business development including proposal writing Identify new business opportunities Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements Required general skills: High level of writing skills and ability to adapt style for different audiences & industries Able to identify and develop and audience map to meet client objectives Strong understanding of the media (traditional & new), editorial requirements and what makes a story Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking Experience of delivering impactful DPR campaigns from inception to delivery Ability to build relationships internally and externally, at all levels A thorough understanding of the value and importance of DPR in the overall communications/marketing mix Ability to work towards deadlines Strong presentation skills, presenting effectively without the use of notes Being able to decipher client brief and breaking it down to actual client requirements Interpersonal Skill: Strong organizational and time management skills Professional demeanour, sets a strong example to junior members of the team High level of initiative and self-motivation.
