Dean Of Graduate School

General Purpose or Primary Function
Responsible for the planning, organizing and orchestration of instruction, research and community service in Graduate School with the intent of achieving the goals of the DMSF and the mission of the institution. The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the Academic Unit.
Principal Accountabilities
Develops, monitors and evaluates and when necessary, revises the program and curriculum or a component thereof in consultation with the Executive Council and other support services of the Institution in pursuit of its goals and the institution’s mission.
Directs, supports and evaluates the performances of department officials and faculty members, and support services in the College- staff and students to ensure that they perform their roles within acceptable level.
Presides meetings of the council, different departments, committees, and general faculty on administrative and academic matters as well as in the formulation, dissemination, and implementation of school policies to ensure that relevant issues are discussed/resolved and that new and/or revised policies are understood and accepted.
In coordination with Human Resources Department, submits and recommends to the President the hiring, promotion, termination and/or separation of faculty and staff to ensure ready supply of highly competent staff at all times; also recommends the appointment, re-appointment, and termination of services of faculty member as needed.
Continues effort to promote conducive learning environment by looking into the administrative and academic needs of students (including marketing, registration, orientation, counseling, monitoring and evaluation) as well as the faculty (salaries/honoraria, faculty development, evaluation, ranking and promotion).
