Your key responsibilities
Execute day-to-day operational audit work and contribute to the delivery of audits (including risk assessment profiles and business monitoring; undertake audit assignments, draft audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking and validates closure of issues; draft high quality issues for review by audit lead/Principal Audit Manager, facilitate issue tracking and validates the closure of issues (as required).
Execute audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach e.g. documenting Activity Flows, identification of key risks, testing of key controls to determine whether they are properly designed and are operating effectively and documenting work in accordance with divisional standards.
Partner with other divisional/teams during audit engagement to guarantee an integrated approach; review and provide expert opinions on action plans provided by clients, helping them develop robust remediation plans; and complete all assigned audit work in line with agreed budgets, including ad hoc projects and special investigations.
Act as a challenger to clients in the issue closure process and communicate openly with divisional management and the internal stakeholders; keep them informed of potential issues and escalate problems/delays accordingly.
Proactively keep abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business practices; develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas.

Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with relevant extensive work experience, with certifications like CISA, CPA, or CIA.
Must have audit/business knowledge and experience and an understanding of the risks and regulatory requirements with a focus on Investment Bank and also Corporate Bank activities and controls but also looking at variously Wealth Management, Operations, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Finance and Information Technology.
Familiarity with operational requirements of a global bank; a sound understanding of global banking control environment and compliance issues in the banking/finance industry.
Ability to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organisation, transfer knowledge and develop capability of team members; ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
Good stakeholder management and communication skills; must be analytical, problem solver, ability to influence, plan and present ideas.
