Cyber Security Specialist (Information Security)

Administers and maintains the company’s relevant Security appliances and Technologies (WAF, IPS, AV, Web/Email filtering etc..)
Conducts cyber incident response activities (detection, analysis, investigation, forensics) while liaising with the relevant parties
Responds to network and host based security events
Heavy focus on driving internal KPI’s and SLA’s to support operational requirements
Participates in detecting, investigating, and resolving security events (internal and external)
Analyzes security log data in real-time, escalate and explain validated security incidents
Identifies gaps in monitoring/visibility and recommends/builds appropriate open source solutions
Troubleshoots and resolves internal incidents and issues related to security technologies (AV, web filtering etc..)
Detect and escalate internal security policy violations
Responsible for generating weekly, monthly and custom ad-hoc reports

Job Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in IT Security roles
Experience managing firewalls, Web Application firewalls, IPS, Log management
knowledge of network, Web and email related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
Ideally has one of the following certifications:
SANS SEC501: Advanced Security Essentials - Enterprise Defender
SANS SEC503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth
SANS SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits and Incident Handling
Cisco CCNA
EC-Council - CEH
Experience with packet sniffers, FW logs, Web server Access logs and operating system security logs
Experience with log management solutions
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
