Cyber Security Engineer

Work Location: Quezon City - ONSITE Mondays - Fridays Need to be Open for consultant or contractual under Client for 6 months.
Job Summary The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our network, systems, and data.
This role involves collaborating with other IT teams, conducting security assessments, responding to incidents, and contributing to the overall improvement of our security posture.
Job Specifications Minimum Education Required: College graduate preferably in a computer/IT related course.
Minimum Relevant Experience Required: At least 5 years working experience in Information Security, with 3+ years in Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering.
Other competencies, skills, licensure required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
Experience with various security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning tools.
Knowledge of network protocols and security.
Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and security hardening.
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP ) is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash ) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) are preferred.
