JOB SUMMARY
Using extensive medical training and knowledge of occupational medicine and safety, company nurses interpret and document a worker’s medical complaints using medical histories and diagnostic tests. While complying with laws and regulations, company nurses investigate and analyze injury trends, research possible occupational hazards, and collaborate with safety teams and managers. Additional job duties can include managing medical records, creating emergency workplace preparedness plans and evaluating health care delivery systems.
ROLES ANS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare health monthly and annual reports required by DOLE.
2. Prepare and document reports of patients.
3. Work with multidisciplinary team members.
4. Maintain a healthy and secured working environment.
5. Prepare, implement and present innovative promotion programs of health.
6. Perform duties related to policy development.
7. Keep health reports of staff.
8. Conduct safety training programs.
9. Increase revert-to-work strategies following serious injury.
10. Solve critical issues in the place of work.
11. Observe the ability of an employee to handle dangerous chemicals.
12. Maintain updated contacts with public health and occupational health associations.
13. Take part in educational conferences to train workers in substance related to occupational health.
14. Survey the place of work and review any possible hazards that may result from the existing work environment.
15. Provide routine work environment appraisals and to manage these on a daily basis.
16. Provide detailed information about employee’s compensation claims.
17. Provide patients care in unstable situation.
18. Maintain all records related to work place injury
Requirements:
Education : BS Nursing
Experience : At least 1 year related work experience.
Competencies : Registered Nurse, training with COSH and BOSH,with OHNAP is an advantage, Computer Literate
Detail oriented.
