Job Description:
The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for providing the overall technical leadership and technology strategy for the company. As a key member of Management, the CTO will play a significant role in ensuring seamless operations in a high-intensity work environment. In close coordination and collaboration with the other members of the executive team, and with the support of the internal technical team, the Head of technology will serve as the principal leader and manager of information services and systems infrastructure support.
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success. Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company’s services through partnership with the various departments, customers and other stakeholders Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company’s data and servers. Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Manages the process of systems development, testing, quality assurance, and deployment. Direct and manage IT infrastructure, purchasing, sourcing, project management, IT audit, quality assurance, vendor management, network management, customer service and help desk. Articulating and communicating the technology organization’s development plans and capabilities, technology expenditures, system configuration and status, overall technology and efforts to exceed expectations of the organization. Leads the team of technology experts, internal system engineering efforts, advising on software solutions and purchases, system design and delivery, quality, as well as technology compliance. Responding to and collaborating with colleagues from across the company, assessing alternatives, and developing products and services that meet or exceed all business needs. Uses a highly communicative approach to keeping business leaders apprised of 24/7 capability and support. Directing the activities and deliverables for the technology organization, establishing disciplines and priorities as necessary. Recruiting, motivating, evaluating, and rewarding staff, building/leading a world-class organization. Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, business administration and an advanced degree on any of these fields is a plus. Technology engineering certifications are also highly desirable.
A minimum of 15 years of technology leadership experience Impeccable personal integrity, demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team, complex systems, and serve as an advisor to senior leaders. Ability to quickly grasp the key operating levers of the Company’s business operations, anticipate future business trends, technology developments and translate them into new opportunities. A balanced focus of technology and process, with an effective blend of the two, to best understand and integrate business applications with technological issues. Information technology architecture and systems experience that includes scalable applications development and cross-platform compatibility using various tools. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a range of technology variables. Proven leadership in advanced information systems combined with business acumen, which extends beyond the functional responsibilities of the role
