GSS Overview
With over 900 team members in 11 countries, JPMC’s Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization proactively works with line of business colleagues to identify and partner with suppliers who can provide the best price, quality, and capabilities to support JPMC’s business needs. GSS is a highly dynamic global organization comprised of multiple functional areas including Sourcing & Procurement, Third Party Operations & Controls, Customer Experience, and Corporate Insurance Services. These functions work together to manage over $17B of supplier spend with more than 27K suppliers in 48 countries.
GSS services include, but are not limited to, identifying the best suppliers to support business needs, purchasing goods and services from new and existing suppliers, mitigating risk in supplier relationships, paying suppliers seamlessly, and managing employee travel and related expenses.
Part of the Sourcing and Procurement organization within GSS, theApprovalsteam sits within Travel, Approvals, Tickets, and the Expense functions. The Approvals team seeks to promote transparency, inclusiveness, and best practices across our process and policies as part of the firm wide transformation of high value approvals. The Approval team’s mission is to support and work with the Lines of Businesses on a consensus approach to approvals so managers have proper oversight of expenses within their organization. The Approvals Business team provides effective and efficient services to improve clarity and overall understanding of approvals.
Position Summary:
TheApprovals Reporting and Analytics Associatewill support reporting, analytics and customer support practices, including the Best Approver program, to optimize the approval experience for stakeholders, customers, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of team reporting used to support customers and their approval-related queries

Lead weekly approval request submissions and tracking in the team SharePoint

Support the Best Approver program
Understand our customers and their data requirements

Support reporting and perform analytics to address customer and team requirements, including the build of flash reports and management scorecards

Perform data entry where and when necessary

Identify the completeness of data sets and how to close data gaps

Coordinate with colleagues to obtain and organize large data sets for queries across various systems and databases

Perform volume reporting

Pro-actively review data sets for accuracy and consistency. Ensure timely and appropriate escalation of any trends/risk issues.

Build presentations and dashboards to quantify team performance, key findings and volumes

Monitor data sets and approval queues
Develop and maintain automated queries or processes to efficiently extract and report data

Ensure metrics data is accurate, relevant, and actionable

Collaborate with other JPMC reporting and analytics teams to deploy best in class reporting and analytics practices

Maintain procedures and control/audit documentation

Provide approvals support to the Approvals team and to LOBs as necessary and as required

Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent in finance, business, economics, information systems, or related field
3-5 years of business analysis and reporting experience
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel with strong experience in creating analytical reports
Skilled in PowerPoint and SharePoint
Ability to identify data trends and build reporting that solves problems within large data sets
Ability to identify cause/effect relationships
Be able to concatenate, isolate, combine or normalize various data sets
Synthesize and analyze information to develop actionable recommendations
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Analytical & investigative mind-set to research and resolve issues with data
Ability to develop, analyze, & report at various levels of seniority
Solid listening, analytical, critical thinking, and decision making skills
Experience in Data Management, Data Modelling, Data Strategy or Big Data a plus
Experience leveraging Visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Qlikview) a plus
Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Beeline and Concur reporting preferred
Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Source to Pay Operations preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced high volume environment supporting multiple initiatives
Spoken and written fluency in English
Ability to work EST (New York) business hours
