Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Computer Technology or Civil EngineeringWith at least 1-2years relevant experience in the same field of expertiseKnowledgeable of building codesMust have knowledge of architectural terminologyUnderstands the equations, calculations and written instructions from designers and engineers before beginning a CAD drawingAbility in using special notations and symbols to give instructions on drawings and blueprintsAutoCAD Operator is expected to perform tasks such as but not limited to:Drawn plans for structural foundations and other construction projectsUsers manual drawing skills for plans that cannot be computer generatedRevises drawings based on instructions from engineers or architectsVisits building sites to collect data for drawingsConsults with clients to understand their instructions and to answer their questionsMonitors compliance with building codes throughout the construction processReviews engineering data to ensure compliance with the original design plansModifies existing drawingsPrograms drawing into manufacturing systems
