Job Description
The Finance Systems team manages a complex SOX compliant infrastructure with many inter-related components that provide the repository of financial information required to support the Source of Earnings and other general ledger financial reporting at MFC. They also support the Enterprise-wide critical cash management and treasury solutions including the banking interfaces. There are over 4,000 global users of Finance and Treasury systems worldwide; peak usage occurs during local banking hours and during the quarterly financial reporting cycle. The key responsibilities of the area are: data governance; ongoing operational support (including monitoring, setup, and end user support); application development; supporting global financial process change initiatives and leading change throughout the business units; implementing changes and upgrades to all systems supported by IFS; maintaining a controlled, reliable, accessible and stable financial reporting environment.
Reporting to the IFS Technical Application Support Manager in Finance Systems, and the incumbent will be part of a systems team supporting a large multi-tiered environment comprised of many applications supporting the Group Functions Finance area.
Key Accountabilities:
Expertly perform all Associate Software Technical Analyst accountabilities
Support ETL Informatica Workflows aborts and issues.
Develop Informatica Workflows
Collaborate with IFS Tech and Dev Teams on different projects and initiatives
Ensure scripts developed are correct and will work properly.
Can resolve Problem tickets and provide permanent solution
Ensure Testing Environments needed by other IFS Teams for new projects and initiatives are ready.
Estimate and plan work efforts and provide regular status on planned activities
Develop a strong technical competency with IFS tool(s) via continuous education and training
Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with interested parties to drive change with a focus on efficiency and risk management
Maintaining knowledge bank and lead training of new resources
Ensure appropriate documentation is created and available
Minimum Skills Requirement to Hire:
The candidate:
BS or equivalent experience
3 or more years of IT Experience
1+ years experience developing scripts
Has demonstrated he/she can perform majority of the Key Accountabilities.
Technical Skills:
Excellent knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle
Excellent knowledge with Agile methodologies
Excellent knowledge of structured analysis, design and development techniques
Broad understanding of the relationship between IT components (desktops, servers, networks, applications, tools)
Soft skills:
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to define and solve technical problems
Excellent attention to detail
Strong writing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities at once
Proficient with MS Office
