We are seeking an experienced and passionate eCommerce Web Developer who will be our resident Shopify expert. Our ideal candidate will create rich, interactive front-end solutions that will fulfill our client’s eCommerce requirements while taking responsibility for creating a great user experience for customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 1-2 years of web development experience
At least 1-year experience working with the Shopify platform
General experience building, launching and maintaining Shopify stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system.
Demonstrate expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and liquid, with an in-depth understanding of Document Object Model
Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating
Experience with CSS pre and post processors - specifically SASS.
Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions.
Thorough understanding and experience with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, and modern JavaScript frameworks
Thorough understanding of Git and workflow processes (e.g. GitFlow)
Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
Experience developing for responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
A strong understanding of responsive web design techniques
An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
Great attention to detail and be highly organized
Effective communication skills and attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform
Developing custom Shopify themes
Migrating websites from other eCommerce platforms to Shopify
Extending Shopify’s functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
Integrating third-party and platform supported apps in the sites
Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify platform
Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites is a plus
Transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
Creating responsive websites designs
Working under tight deadlines
Handling multiple projects at the same time
Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail
