Job Description
Purpose
The Asia Data Office (ADO) is charged with: Data standards and governance within Asia and Common data infrastructure and architecture
The Scrum Master will have primary accountability in driving delivery of our projects, initiatives and requests and implementing Agile best practices within the team
Duties
Project delivery
Scrum master for one or more scrum squads within ADO
Ensure all committed tasks are completed
Remove impediments and blockers
Agile / Scrum leadership
Guide your squad(s) on how to follow Agile best practices
Get work done without assigning or dictating work
Guide your squad(s) on self-organisation
Build a trusting environment where problems can be raised without fear, with an emphasis on problem solving
Lead by example
Guide and coach other scrum masters in a collaborative, continuous improvement
Product ownership
Support and educate Product Owner, especially on grooming/maintaining backlog
Act as Proxy Product Owner as delegated by ADO leaders when required
Business analysis and requirements (as required)
Support squad and Product Owner in requirements gathering as required
Gather, document, analyse and prioritize business needs
Document in various formats, including:
Business requirements document
Data mapping
Use cases
Process maps
Translate user needs into clear, deliverable requirements
Qualifications
Education & experience
Bachelor's degree preferably in Operations Management, Business or Engineering related courses
2+ years in one or more of the following
Scrum master
Business analysis
Process analysis
Data analysis
Operations supervisory/management
Project management
Recognized qualification in Project Management helpful
Understanding of the insurance and/or financial industry is an asset
Technical proficiency
Proficient in JIRA and Confluence
Strong knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
PowerBI or Qlikview or other dashboard tools is an advantage
Statistical analysis and data mining packages such as SAS, SPSS, Minitab or R is an advantage
Competencies
Above average written and oral communication skills in the English language
Ability to confidently facilitate group sessions and workshops
Confidence in working with teams in different locations, countries, cultures and languages
Understanding of data analytics techniques is an advantage
Regression analysis

Supervised and unsupervised machine learning
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively
