Assist to design, develop and maintain the recruitment process of the organization (including its description, recruitment measurement definitions, regular measurement reporting, taking proper actions to close gaps);
Implement the selection matrix provided by the Principal for the optimum recruitment channel and recruitment source;
Explores the market best practices in the recruitment of seafarers and implement appropriate best practices in the organization;
Builds a quality relationship with internal customers, including principals and external recruitment agencies;
Monitors and constantly reduces the cost of the recruitment process;
Conducts interview for seafarer’s;
Assess validity and relevance of seafarer’s competencies and experience against the needs of the vessel with crew requirement(s);
Propose new crew to Manning Department and ensure the transmittal of all relevant documents;
Act as secondary point of contact for managers in the absence of the Recruitment and Training Manager regarding recruitment topics;
Designated to do recruitment of OJTs (Deck Boys and Mess Boys) and ensure sufficient number of trainees;
Coordinate with third party Training Centers to intensify partnership with the objective of ensuring sufficient training schedules;
Assist in preparing the monthly KPI;
Conducts quarterly performance appraisals of direct report;
Take the lead in the performance management of direct reports as a result of performance appraisals;
Use extensive network ties in sourcing of candidates by using his/her extensive network in the industry;
Reports directly to the Recruitment and Training Manager;
Performs other tasks as maybe required by the immediate superior;
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree;
Must have at least 4 years relevant experience in the maritime-manning industry;
Must have extensive experience handling passenger vessel;
Must have excellent coaching and mentoring skills;
Must have excellent communication skills;
Must have exceptional analytical skills;
Good presentation skills;
Must have the ability to create a team environment of accountability and commitment for reaching goals;
Demonstrated capacity to drive and lead changes;
Must be able to make independent key decisions;
