Position Summary
The University at Buffalo (UB) seeks psychologists with clinical and research skills for tenure-track faculty position in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Department of Psychiatry. This position will carry an affiliated faculty position with the UB Clinical and Research Institute on Addictions (CRIA) and may be filled at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will develop and collaborate in research in the treatment of substance abuse/ addictions including obtaining external funding and publishing findings; provide education/training with residents and medical students; and contribute to clinical treatment operations. The position carries significant protected time that will allow for the development of a robust research portfolio. The chosen candidate will be expected to:
Grow and lead funded addiction treatment research in opioid and other substance use disorders, particularly in the area of psychosocial treatments.
Partner with diverse CRIA faculty in University-wide research.
Mentor medical students and residents in addictions treatment and research.

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psycholoy or related discipline
License or license eligible in New York State
Strong record of scholarship in addiction research

Preferred Qualifications
Record of externally funded scholarship related to addiction as co-investigator (assistant level) or principal investigator (associate level).
