Assistant Cook

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a Assistant Cook role.
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of best cooking practices
- Culinary school diploma is a plus
- Minimum 2 years experience in hotel/resort.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
- Preparing ingredients prior to meal service, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or cleaning seafood.
- Maintain food production records, notify supervisors when supplies are low, unpack deliveries, and restock work areas
- Assist the head chef in cooking dishes according to set recipes.
- Performed other duties, as assigned.
