Key responsibilities
Financial and Management ReportingResponsible for the health of the books of the cluster/ area that they are handlingEnsure all financial and tax requirements are complied with to ensure business continuity of the cluster they are handling.Support the frontline business in the financial analysis of the cluster being handled and ensure that they are aligned with the company direction and directives.Ensure proper controls are in place with regards to all facet of accounting and finance both in the GSC and the cluster that they are handling.Alignment of Local GAAP with IFRS and any deviation thereto are addressed in Non Leading Ledger of the company.Ensure Business Unit (BU) HFM reporting is accurate and in line with appropriate standards (review controller books, perform monthly controlling checks).Assist entities with reporting queries.Review monthly controller checklist for assigned BU’s.ICP controlling for Maersk GSC and assigned countries (ensure all entities have reported and that mismatches are understood and documented).OPEX reporting for Maersk GSC including reviewing BU submissions, consolidating templates and preparing a presentation on OPEX for CPH Global Finance.Balance sheet analysis (review and consolidation of BU submissions).Provide input to monthly management report (consolidate input from BU’s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis).Provide input to quarterly performance review (consolidate input from BU’s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis).Assist with OPEX input to reserves reporting process.Adhoc tasks and analysisRisk and ControlsPromote the principles of good accounting practices, and ensure compliance with documented internal controls.Dimensions:Result-driven and an individual contributor. We are looking for
Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of core reporting and accounting experience.Knowledge of accounting policies, including international accounting standardsKnowledge of Management AccountingPrior financial accounting (GL) & reporting experience of one yearKnowledge of SAP would be an added advantageAnalytical & Problem-Solving ability for trouble shootingPrior experience in BPO is preferableExcellent communication skills (English) – Fluent Oral & WrittenFlexible to work in any shift, i.e. morning, afternoon or night.Technical SkillsComputer literate (Windows) & Strong MS Excel skills (v-lookup, Pivots, Complex formulas) and MS PowerPointAnalytical & Problem-Solving ability for trouble shootingPrior experience in SAP / ERP systems
