Introduction
IBM Application Consultants work directly with our clients on key initiatives. You will have the opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of their business issues and implement organizational strategies that drive adoption of change. Your Role and Responsibilities
As aSite Reliability Consultant, you are responsible for the operational support for the product. This role needs understanding of various systems used for monitoring and troubleshooting and assists the team in trouble shooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for change management on the team, develops actionable plans to minimize outage risks tied to changes by focusing on
o Progressive rollouts
o Quick and accurate troubleshooting
o Efficient and reliable rollback of changes when required
Forecast demand and plan for adequate (optimal) capacity to satisfy natural product usage cycles and any surge demands, such as marketing campaigns, promotional campaigns, etc.
Ensure load-shifting is completed as required to address usage variations and scheduled maintenance windows.
Skills
Exposure to DevOps Tools and Integration such as Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, Coverity, Black Duck and Junit/XUnit
Experience with Configuration Management Tools such as Ansible
Excellent troubleshooting skills and proficient in service-level changes
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
