Application Architect – Sap Basis | Section C

Description:
The SAP Basis Architect is responsible for defining and leading SAP Upgrades & Migrations, especially to HANA and S/4HANA on public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). The job includes working closely with smartShift Professional Service Team members, Solution Architects, Cloud Architects, Account Executives, and R&D. The role includes direct engagement with customers and prospects. Responsibilities include supporting SAP upgrade/migration approach definition, system design-architecture-and sizing, facilitating solution discussions and best practice definitions, and leading technical delivery workstreams for customer engagements.

Requirements:
Assess and define SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, and Cloud migration approach for customers
Lead SAP HANA and S/4HANA migrations for SAP systems (ECC, BW, SCM, CRM, SRM, HCM, etc.)
Provide high-level architecture, system sizing, and infrastructure requirements definition for future state SAP landscapes
Support system migration readiness assessment efforts
Evaluate version and module compatibility to inform upgrade approach
Recommend upgrade approach and options aligned to customer business needs
Support Data Volume Management (DVM) processes
Advice on SAP Basis support and process best practice
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in professional services consulting or equivalent
SAP HANA certification
SAP OS/DB migration certification
AWS, Azure, GCP cloud certification strongly preferred (must be will and able to obtain certification if not already in hand)
Ability to understand and articulate requirements in order to define solutions and benefits
Excellent presentation and listening skills to communicate effectively with executive management
Strong team and individual worker
High energy and a positive attitude
