Principal Accountabilities:Complete all assigned indirect tax scope (Complex to high complex activities) in a timely and accurate manner. Specific core activities include but not limited to:Prepare and submit accurate and timely value based tax returns for Shell entities in the USFile business license registrationsProcess assessments and correspondences coming from taxing authoritiesEnsure taxes are properly reconciled and investigatedCollaborates with feeder process for corrections or adjustments of taxesConnects with the business to understand fluctuation of taxesParticipate and leads team projectsInitiate and lead process improvements .Resolve and escalate issues timely and effectively.Comply with team, centre, process and global polices and procedures. Ensures that tax payments and requests are process accurately and on time.Manage effectively interfaces with FO and non FO stakeholders, build end to end perspective.Ensure operational effectiveness of the controls within areas of responsibility.Control operator (RDS, Key, business).Actively participate in backup structure.Other assigned activities such asJob complexity drivers:size and materiality of the entitynumber of entitiesComplex to high Complex tax exposure scopevariety of Complex & non-standard transactionsspan of coordination with offshore organizations and onshore business units
Requirements
Skills & Requirements:Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, CPA preferredAt least 2-3 years experience in Tax, Finance or Accounting.Very good command of English or other language - depending on business needs.Good understanding of all accounting processesVery good working knowledge of Word, Excel and MS OutlookExperience of using a major ERP system such as SAP, JDE, SUN, Oracle, PeopleSoft - optional
