Please read more about New U Therapy Center & Family Services here: Verifies patient insurance eligibility and benefit coverage;Review scheduled Intakes and Follow-Up appointments on Clinician calendarsReview completed packets for compliance for scheduled patients for complete documentation and consent prior to scheduled visitsAnswers all inquiries and explains all the various services offered.Long inquiries on Referral Tracker, including contact and insurance information;Takes and enters all information, including contact and insurance information into systemTrack referral sources of new patients and maintain log for reporting.Manages scheduling of new and follow-up appointments for clinical providers.Obtain initial pre-authorization and concurrent authorizations from insurance for patients in treatment, enter into the system to ensure no gaps in coverage.Contact patient or guarantor and advise of financial responsibility: deductible, copays, co-insurance or other insurance payment responsibilities including out-of-network insurance options.Manage and update patients' general information and medical insurance changes in the electronic systemCoordinate and enter information for requests for patients' records and other documents requests. Forwards to the appropriate provider with the records request for completion.Manage pharmacy and insurance medication authorization and refillsManages email and mail traffic, distributes accordingly.Scans, uploads, copies, and prints various documents.Maintains the front desk, reception, and waiting areas.Manages multi-line phone calls.Performs varied administrative and front desk duties for a medical office.Do customer service and sales.Creates and applies charges from the daily copay sheet and reconcile into the electronic systemSkills:Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsService Orientation - Actively looking for ways to help peopleSocial Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they doActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate timesAttention to Detail – Able to follow processes and routinesComprehension and Expression - The ability to comprehend and communicate information and ideas so others will understandActive Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Time Management - Managing one's own time effectively.Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrongDeductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make senseComputer Skills – Must be proficient in using common programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs, and be able to operate basic office machines such as a copier and printer. Qualifications:Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or relevant roleVerification of insurance eligibility experience is requiredKnowledge of online calendars and scheduling (e.g. Google Calendar) in a healthcare environmentExcellent phone, email, and instant messaging communication skillsExcellent time management skillsSolid organizational skillsKnowledge of electronic health recordsHave customer service and sales experienceEnglish speaking preferredRate:
$3.00 per hour, full-time
