You will work for a highly trusted company that has made parts and safety products for transportation fleets and other industrial applications in the U.S. for more than 150 years. It’s been in the same family for 6 generations!

Duties and Responsibility:

You will monitor and process documents through our document image capture software.
Monitor and disperse email in the accounting Outlook mailbox
Monitor, investigate, and resolve variances for vendors using electronic data interchange
Ensure proper handling and timely processing of electronic data files. Troubleshoot and resolve data transmission or content problems.
Run monthly reports to support wire payment to EDI vendors.
Prepare checks with the appropriate supporting documentation.
Enter non-EDI vendor invoices into the A/P sub-ledger.
Audit and process employee expense reports for payment.
Research on and answer vendor inquiries and inquiries from locations.
Print accounts payable reports and maintain accounts payable files, including reconciliation of vendor aging statements.
Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
Assist with special projects, as necessary.


Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus preferably 5 years of experience.
Good computer skills including experience with or aptitude for ERP systems in general and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Working knowledge of accounting concepts and principles are preferred.
Ability to comprehend simple to moderately complex instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors and other employees of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work well with colleagues and managers.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise careful attention to detail.
