Account Specialist (Healthcare Account) Temporary

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including comprehension) in English
- Must be able to read, review and analyze reimbursement contracts from managed care insurance
- Must be able to read, review and analyze medical records for appeal drafting and submission
- Basic knowledge of CPT & HCPCS coding language helpful but not required, ICD-9 & ICD-10 knowledge a plus
- Understanding of HMOS, PPOs and other Managed Care Plans helpful but not required
- Knowledge and understanding of UB04 and EOBs/RAs a plus
- Knowledge of third party reimbursement regulations and billing practices a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with co-workers and management
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations, and healthcare nomenclature a plus
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Must be able to work independently in a remote environment (with or without supervision) and be accountable for work product
- Must have stable internet connectivity with a minimum of 25 mbps download and upload speeds
- Must be willing and able to learn how to navigate hospital electronic health record systems, payer portals, collection software, and other online resources as needed.
- Must be willing and able to refer to written training materials as needed to reinforce your knowledge as needed
