Overview
The primary responsibility will be to assist the Operations Manager/Senjor Project Manager with the coordination of daily tasks for various Precast projects. The selected candidate must be motivated, willing to work with all personalities, have exceptional communication skills, and excellent time management ability.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all safety requirements of the operations are met, and promote Lafarge's safety culture
Assist Operations Manager with Daily planning of Tasks and Coordination of Crews, Materials, Equipment, etc.
Able to review and interpret plans and specifications associated with road construction.
Effectively measure quantities from both blue prints and field operations.
Data entry of information.
Represent Lafarge and promote image and moral.
Work closely with Plant/Field Superintendent
Maintain a daily project diary.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Engineering, Diploma from Technical Institute in Engineering, or
Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Civil Engineering=
Experience and Skill Set:
Good project coordination experience
Great problem solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and great organization skills
Good knowledge of construction industry
Capable of multi-tasking and managing priorities
High capacity of working under pressure and stress
Ability to effectively present information in writing, and respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Ability to calculate figures, amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Computer proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications
